As part of its continuing education program Life supports Experiential Trips to various local venues for its members. These trips are managed entirely by Life volunteers and require sign ups utilizing this website. For all events sign-up and payment will be via PayPal. Tour prices are for contracted special group rates. This may result in minimum and maximum tour group size. Tours must be paid for when signing up. Fees are non-refundable unless the member or coordinator can find a replacement and member notifies the coordinator at least 3 days before the event.
As with all our programs LIFE member volunteers are needed to support this effort. Tour leaders are required for all events. If you are interested in helping out with this program, contact Marie Ruckstuhl at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Trips will be published on this site when they are confirmed by the Trip committee. Sign-up forms for these Experiential Trips will activate approximately 3 weeks prior to the each trips. The names of all participants must be listed on the registration form.

Trip attendees must enter as a group in order to get the group rate. So please arrive 10-15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

TWO TOURS ARE OFFERED; LUNCH ON YOUR OWN BETWEEN THE TWO TOURS.
YOU MAY SIGN UP SEPARATELY, FOR EACH TOUR, YOU MAY BRING A BROWN BAG LUNCH AND EAT AT THE PAVILLION AT THE ARBORETUM, IF YOU WISH.
Short program overview before the tours to learn how program works and how it is funded.
Tour 1 (10 AM – 11:30 AM) – Garden and Arboretum Site Tour – greenhouse, bee apiary and community garden. Learn about organic growing methods and gardening processes used, apiary care and harvesting.
Tour 2 (12:30 PM – 1:30 PM) – Natural Lands Tour – Short nature hike around Fire Loop Trail, approximately 1/4 mile. Trail is hard sand, relatively compact.
Cost: Free; donations welcome; closed toe shoes recommended; prepare for sun and bring water bottle.
Maximum 20 per tour
Parking is limited to 10 spaces at site. If using site parking, you will need an Arboretum Parking Pass (from Arboretum office) which you will return to Arboretum after event. Recommend car pooling. Garage C is closest to site and you may park there using your LIFE at UCF hang tag.
