Through the experiential learning field trips, Paul and I have learned so much about sunny Central Florida. We thoroughly enjoyed a pontoon excursion on Lake Dora, a tour of the Orlando International Airport to see the amazing art collection we had always been in too much of a hurry to notice, and jam-packed-with-information tours of the Orlando Wetlands and the Center for Birds of Prey. And did I mention how much we learned when we toured the UCF College of Medicine? Thank you, LIFE at UCF–we are eager to join LIFE friends on more of these field trips!

A recent expansion of lifelong learning opportunities includes outdoor environmental excursions and field trips to local museums, theaters and other places of interest. LIFE members are responsible for their own transportation and any costs involved, although most field trips are free. Participation can be limited, depending on the venue. Numerous opportunities to enjoy local and nearby excursions are offered throughout the school year.
Before signing up to any trip please read about the program’s requirements and instructions on this link: LIFE Experiential Trip Instructions
There are currently no upcoming Experiential Trips for LIFE at UCF. Please continue to check back here for more updates on opportunities created by LIFE’s Experiential Trips Committee. Thank you!
The Best of Portugal: From the Age of Discovery to Today
Please see the following message from our trip organizer, Road Scholar:
“Based on the current situation and in order to protect the health and safety of participants, we have decided to extend our suspension of all Road Scholar programs, in the United States and around the world, through May 2020. This includes your upcoming program to Portugal.
Due to these extraordinary circumstances, we would be happy to reschedule you and your members on a future program date or, apply full program credit to your members’ Road Scholar account so they can have up to three years to decide on another program.
We’ll also be providing an additional voucher for transferring into a new program as an extended thank you for your patience and loyalty with Road Scholar.
You and your members are our highest priority and, while this action will impact thousands of enrolled participants and hundreds of our educational partners and staff around the world, we know it is the right decision to ensure the well-being of your members. We do ask for your patience as we reach out to your members over the next few weeks. Thank you again for your commitment to Road Scholar and our mission of lifelong learning.”
